guys,
the previous owner installed a set of VDO electronic gauges, but with the traditional needle pointer.. the speedo has an odometer and trip odometer.
last week it was kind of flashing and stuff, and today was totally on the brink. the needle on the speedo works fine.. just the electronic odometer read out..
i tried to take the back of it apart to see if there is a battery in there, but couldnt get the dern thing off.
is there a battery inside there that keeps the info when the main battery is unhooked ?
it has worked fine for the past 3 years that i have had it...
just curious how the heck these things keep the info, if there are no batteries inside on the electronic panel.... strange.
