my can of berrymans was dark as well. it worked good, just not really fast. I left my stuff in for a week, as I have no time during the week to do any extracuricular (this is spelled wrong ?) activities. I had to do a bit of brushing and scrubbing to get the parts shiny(er) but it worked fine
