Hy Josh_51GMC, did you get that vacuum gauge yet??? When you say it "dies" do you mean it actually stops running, or does it hesitate and possibly backfire through the carb? You told us a while ago that you checked the carb and the accelerator pump was giving you a shot of fuel every time you worked the throttle, so leaning the mixture shouldn't be the problem. When you get the vacuum gauge put it on a manifold vacuum source and tell us what the readings are at idle and what they do when you attempt to rev it up.
