Edelbrock has a habit of over-jetting their carbs to avoid burning holes in pistons from a lean mixture. You'll probably need to go down a size or two on jets once the vehicle gets on the road. That will also help out in the power range, as rich-running engines don't make very good power. Wait until you get a few road miles on before tinkering with the mixture, as you might find the engine exhibits different running characteristics under load, but I've found on numerous dyno runs that Edelbrocks need some fine-tuning to get the best output. Most people way over-carburete engines (750 CFM on a 305 engine, for instance) so Edelbrock jets 'em rich from the factory to try to make their carbs idiot-proof.
