Second the analog meter and or lite bulb test as opposed to digital. I have both digital (fluke) and analog (Simpson). Both are top grade instruments and have their good and bad points.
Also like the idea of some rubber or other insulation between upper hold down and battery - that dipit plastisol stuff?
