Cletis, I agree with you completely. I was at a local car show last night and only 50's era truck had the factory motor left in it! Swingdaddy, the motor you sent the link of is killer! I did a few quick searches on ebay and only found one 302 GMC motor for sale, and it was a military take out (non-running and couldn't get it to turn). Are there any good resources to get my hands on a good 302 to start with? I plan on building it over this winter, hopefully able to pull the 228 in the spring and have it ready for shows by next summer. Thanks for the input guys, this site is GREAT!
