Thanks for the link. The photo in the link is the opposite of what I thought, i.e. the lower retainer is what all of the parts catalogs are selling, which I thought was on top. So, is the upper plate a seperate piece from the timing plate, or is it tacked to the bottom of the timing plate? Sorry to beat this one to glue but want to do this right the first time. I have a 59 270 going into a 49 1/2 ton so do not have the original setup to look at. I have found other references, specifically:

The link above clearly shows 4 pieces, excluding the timing plate so am assuming a proper assembly is required for long life (which is actually the question). Anybody now where to get the parts in the photo (I have found the lower cover and the bushing)?
