Hy jss1956, there are two basic ways to deal with the too long waterpump problem, buy a special short waterpump that fits your engine, or buy an adapter and use an early 235 or 216 waterpump, the adapter method puts the fan in the correct place on the radiator up and down wise, hope that helps.
