I don't think it has any adhesive on it and I don't think it will make much difference retarding heat. I would spend some more $ and get something that will make a real difference.

I choose the damplifie and am quite satisfied with the result. It turned a tomato can into a furry casket to use a cheap analogy. Also the price was much cheaper than the leading product.
