Well, mine came with a 283 that had a broken valve. I have a 54. Seeing as how it was already mine and a rebuild kit kit didn't cost that much I stuck with it. Although I changed out the motor mounts and tranny mount and went from a 3 speed manual to a th350 with a lokar shifter. Any way where was I........ Oh yeah. I'm 38 and don't really care what any one thinks. My first "stovebolt" is a 53 that had the 216 in it. I had planned on fixing up a six and putting it in there but I just got a 69 plymouth satellite with a 318, auto, 8 3/4 rear with 57,000 miles on it. I bet it would fit.
