can be done . spot welded across the windscreen opening and at the pillars as well as bolts under the dash at both ends . removed mine to do left right conversion and to fill all the old holes, dash, speakers and glovebox etc. not that big a job just be carefull drilling out the spot welds. dash will need to be reinstalled so I wouldn't paint finish it . repair it put it in primer then reinstall
