Bob, I did not have to swap any of the basic suspension. I just removed all of the brake parts and replaced them with the 6 lug 1/2 ton kit from Jim Carter.
I kept all of the front axel parts in place including the spindels. It was basically a swap out of parts. I did go to a dual chamber master cylinder mounted on the fire wall.
