My '59 Apache 3600 (w/a smallblock) is in desparate need of a major tuneup. As part of the tuneup, I want to upgrade to an HEI distributor. I'm aware that a factory large-cap distributor will not clear my firewall, so I'm going to go with a small cap HEI distributor.
There are a number of sources. One is

www.hotrodsusa.com, plus a few others I'm not mentioning.
The prices range from $69.99 (at hotrodsusa, on sale, down from 149.99) to over $200. Which one is best? Has anyone here ever converted to small cap HEI? Any watch-outs?
