I'm running a B&M cooler w/fan in one of my trucks and have it mounted under the bed. Geographically, I saw no need to run through the radiator to pre-heat the ATF. However, it might be something you would want to consider as Pensacola gets mighty cold in the winter.
The fan/cooler doesn't require a whole lot of space for air passage and I just used some flat band stock and rubber cushions to secure the assembly. I may have some pics in my Webshots F100 album.
