Have been bothered by a oil leak for 4 years. Kept getting worse. Local mechanic told me it was the rear main seal. He replaced it for the SMALL sum of 300 bucks.
It still leaked. He worked on it again for 150. It still leaked. Took it to a different mechanic. He replaced the intake manifold rear seal and performed other tasks that I could have done my self.The problem is fixed for a additional 400$ I could have done the job for $4 of silicone my self. Well live and learn
