I never mentioned that the head is in my recently restored 65 k14. Turns out that the guy that rebuilt my 292 2 years ago thought it would be okay to leave a stripped stud in place and use a double nut. We found this out adjusting the valves. Anyway it's all done now. I was a little scared because this truck is done and I really didn't want to pull it down again. Sad to say ; there's a bone head in almost every crowd......curt | | |
