Can they be made to interchange? My trans is an 87 700R4 TBI set up on the engine but I may buy a motor from the early 70s or late 60s. I know it will bolt up but the flexplate is the problem or question. I have one from a TBI 350 in excellent shape. Will that work for an older 250/292? Can it be drilled to fit or is this a bad idea?
