Make sure that you are not flooding the carb with too much throttle. Check your jets, make sure they aren't clogged.
Also, make sure that your points gap is close to right and not too open, along with the advanced/retarded timing. Individual little things that by themselves would hinder performance but not keep it from starting, when compounded, can cause it not to start and huge headaches. Good luck.
