The only 265 without a built-in filter would be the 1955 model. By 56, the built-in filter base by the flywheel was standard. The oil supply line to the filter from the 55 engine connects to a 1/8" pipe thread port just ahead of the front of the intake manifold above the water pump. Not sure about where the return line attaches, but all it needs to do is return oil to the crankcase. That 55 block is a really scarce item, and it's valuable to someone doing a year-matching restoration on a vehicle.
