possibly tim. i bought the engine off a guy that said it was from a 49-53 chevy truck.i have a 46 and was gonna swap it for the rusted out motor that is in my truck now. the engine does have the motor mounts in front. the gbm actuall looks like someone else stamped them. i say that cause the b is more like an 8 with a 1 stamped down it to make a b and the m looks like a bunch of 1's stamped to look like a m. not sure if this is how they actually stamped the motors back then or not. i will try to get a picture this weekend. it wouldnt show up on my phone's camera. hopefully someone can help me with this mystery. there is a pic of the engine after i got it home on the signiture link
