Somewhat related:
My brake pedal applies pressure within the first inch of travel. I don't move it much to get full application of the brakes.
My clutch seems to disengage within the first inch of pedal travel in the downward direction, meaning it doesn't engage until the pedal has traveled just about to the up position.
Are these typical points?

Can't comment on the brakes but my clutch was at that point just before it went out. The new one takes far less full leg action to work and engages/disengages closer to the floor (maybe about 1/3 up).
