| | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 | 1st in a truck 4spd is geared quite low and is not noted for a speed gear. most do start off in second with those trans. 1st is only used in cases as if you have a heavy load and need that lower gearing to get under way or as some would say if you were out pulling stumps in a field
