The FAA serial number indicates a 1948 Passenger Car 216 built in Flint, MI. per:
this. So apparently the motor was swapped at some time which is not unusual - a lot can happen in 60 years. I agree with Jerry, you will probably have to pull the oil pan and look for the dippers and troughs to know what's been done.
