Hey guys, I'm still trying to strip my frame for its trip to the paint shop. The front end is all off, now on to the rear end. I was able to do some reading and figure out the front springs pretty easy ('53 3/4 ton). I've never seen these clevis type shackles though that hold the rear springs on. I did some reading in the manual and it says you need some specialty tools to remove the rear spring pin. Plus the back of the rear springs have '2' grease zerks (so I assume 2 pins) and the front only has one. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. It sounds like this "tool" screws into the threads of the grease zerk that you remove and then you pull it out. The thing looks like a slide hammer in the book. Any ideas how I could do this without any special tools?
