I really appreciate your advice. I think its a little different than the 1/2 ton - what you're describing sounds just like the front shackles on my front springs. You're right about being able to figure those out, I did as well. These rear ones have me just a little more stumped though. I haven't actually gotten into playing with them, so maybe they won't be that bad, but the book has me a little concerned. Right now I'm trying to get the u-bolts off the springs. Those are some old rusted bolts! They turn slow with a breaker bar no matter how many times I turn them! My impact has about 425 lbs, but it barely turns them.
Any help from anyone would be appreciated.
