Hi. I am new to the forum and am looking for some information. I have a 1954 Chevy 5 window pickup and I am looking for some information about the engine. I have looked at Tim's truck page. There are no numbers on the block where he shows the block casting code and no numbers where he shows the block date casting codes. In fact the only numbers I have been able to find on the block at all are the number 2 above GM on the front right of the block and the following numbers on the distributor plate 06577 30 F54M. The head casting number is where it says on Tim's page and is 3835913. Where else could the casting and date codes be? How can I find out more about this engine without those numbers?
