Sounds like your running out of gas so to speak. Not necessarily a fuel pressure problem but a fuel quanity issue. Any one of the above could be it but a paper fuel filter will swell if any water is introduced into the fuel system and slow down fuel delivery. A bad fuel pump will have enough pressure sometimes, but won't be able to deliver much in the way of quanity. Carb float level too low and the bowl will run out of gas on acceleration. Just my two cents worth but I'd check your fuel filters first, the in-line one and the one in the fuel connection point on the carb, if so equipt.
