I purchased polished stainless steel strips, sorry I didn't pass that on. I don't do welding myself, so I think that I'll just bolt them in w/carriage bolts. The reason I didn't go with the covers is that the angle strips on the truck are in terrible conditiona and I want to replace with new strips and hardware. Thanks for all the help.
