If you're trying to mount a stovebolt engine to a stand with the bellhousing attached, that makes it terribly front-heavy. Take the bellhousing off, and use the bolt holes in the back of the block to attach the rotary head of the stand. A student at a high school where I used to teach nearly lost some toes when a 235 with the bellhousing on it tipped over forward, stand and all.
