Just thought I would through this out. Kinda like a FYI type of thing. I live in the Rogue Valley area of Oregon. This is only one of two parts of the state where emissions testing is going on. Its is done only in Medford and no where else in the Valley. Portland area is the worst. They test rigs under load and have a high failure rate. Last year in the spring of 2006 a law was passed so that you can run older engines in any body you want as long as it burns clean. Not as strick as Calif. grin With spacers and some timing/tuning adjustment its not hard to do. After the rig is 20 years old there are NO emissions requirement. smile Oregon has some nice places to live. Cheaper than Calif and other states. Just a thought for those who want to keep those good ole' stove bolts going and not worry about emissions even if it is a newer style body. Good place to retire. Lots of old bolts here but mostly sitting in fieldsthough some are on the road with the original six or the common place small block. H. wink
