Sablesurfer, I am of the assumption that all these old brake materials are asbestos, seemed to be the material of choice back in the day... I will let you know when I start coughing up pieces of my lung in 20 yrs ...Now where the hell did my asbestos abatement mask go? Just don't make any of this dust airborn and hold your breath while working on the brakes grin If you can find that band type e-brake material for sale anywhere(NOS, etc.), please post.
I think shop manual goes 1960, then 1963 other years after respectively, need the previous shop manual and a supplement for the particular year.(i.e. A 1965 needs a 1963 manual and a '65 supp. manual) I have found it more than helpful.
