I went the route of making some out of thin 1/8" masonite. I started with cardboard and then when I was close made the masonite one. I made sure it fit both 1/2's of the frame equally well and then took them to the glass shop. They said that it was great and only questioned if I had left enough margin for sealer, which I told them I had made the pattern approximately 1/8 - 3/16 inch smaller than the frame. They felt this was sufficient and said they would have the glass ready later this week.
