Newbie here. Pulled the engine on my '50 3100 today. I think I have a '57 235 cast on Dec 28th, 1956 and assembled in Tonawanda, NY on either January or September 23rd. I'd like confirmation from those experienced members of Stovebolt. Here are my numbers:
Block = 3837004
Casting code = L2856
Serial # = TI23H (the second item really looks like an I rather than a 1 .... could I = September vs 1 that seems to mean January)
Questions:
1) Before the casting code is CONV1 .... what does this mean?
2) Just forward and above the fuel pump is a 1" x 2" plate riveted to the block that states SUN MOTOR SUPPLY, TULSA, OK with two numbers on it, in the lower left 57008, lower right CH20 ..... any idea with this means?
