Many years ago I put a 350 in a Caprice that had a 400 not knowing about it. After figureing it out I knocked the weight off the flexplate & it worked fine. Not to long ago a friend of mine was asking me about the vibration in the engine in his step van. He happened to mention it started after he had a new flexplate put in. Shure enough I got under it & they had put in a 400 or 454 flexplate. I had to go in with the torch to get this one off but that solved it. Back when I was in business a guy had to eat his own come backs.
