Trying to get the '50 together and I need a gut check. I'm in the process of mounting the front bumper. The brackets have a slight curve and I believe the brackets should curve down. Is this correct? Next, as I've seen in the posts the brackets are a bear to fit and mine are no exception. My question is can the brackets be heated up to bend them to fit? The brackets feel like spring steel and I wasn't sure if heating is an option. I need to bend 1 bracket away from the fender about 1.5 inches to get the fit I need. Tried a come along but the thing just keeps springing back even with some aggressive force. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
