maybe it has no disc in it? maybe the clutch disc has no lining left? which may be why it was parked by the PO, who likely opened it up to look and in the process cleaned out the bits
.... yes, those puppys are weighty, but you won't know anything until you take it apart, which will have to be done sooner or later
