The bellhousing will be different for sure so you'll need an adaptor or a modern transmission like a CH465 a 5 speed Clark,etc. Te engine is also a little longer and takes modern narrow groove belts so your generator will need to be changed. The motor mounts are staggered on a 292 and on the sides. There are lots of little issues like hose sizes, etc but they atre no really a big deal. The archives have a lot of info on changing out smaller truck engines of prewar chassis and most of that will apply to your truck too I think. Good advice from many folks in here.
