Please, I need some help from someone who is familiar with the shifter and linkage on a 49 panel truck. I replaced the shifter a month ago because the old one was sloppy, now the linkage binds more than ever. What I can't seem to discern is this, the shifter rods from the transmission (three on the tree)how much of the linkage rod is supposed to protrude through each of the shifter connections. I find half an inch in the wrong direction and two of the gears are gone. Can anyone help me determine How much of each rod is to protrude through each of the connection to the shifter. Thank you in advance for your help
