The way to tell it the therm not working(((install with spring or bellows toward engine head or block or heat source..If there is no bypass hose or other source for coolant to move past therm drill therm at outer area...Remove therm and run engine to see if you have coolant movement thru radiator if none look at water pump,,lower hose,,belts....doc
