I am going to fabricate a stainless steel gas tank and install it behind the rear end, under the bed for safety reasons. I need to determine the hole size and pattern for the sending unit, but dont want to put the old one back in. Do they make replacment units for 45 GMC 1/2 tons?? I want to use the orignal gage, but not sure if new units will be compatible? Anyhelp??
