Yup, the T85 is primarily a Ford transmission, plus it saw duty in Studebakers and Jeeps. It is not necessarily an overdrive, that was an option on them, same as the GM transmissions. IIRC, the overdrive varaint was the T85N. The bolt pattern is not the same as GM. Better bet would be to use the SM318, as it is a drect bolt in.
