My truck has made some progress but pretty slow. Anyway my neighbor friend recently picked up a '72 chevy. The PO removed the tank behind the seat and put in a Blazer tank between the frame rails behind the axle. The truck runs and drives but the gauge doesn't read correctly and the filler neck to the tank isn't hooked up. The filler neck just has a rubber hose coming up inside the wheel well.
Questions are: Is it possible to have the stock gas gauge work with the Blazer sending unit in the tank? Is there a way to recalibrate it?
Where do most people mount the filler neck when they relocate the tank? He would rather not put it in the bed since it would be covered when anything is loaded in there. thanks, Blake | | |
