For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 | The bolts that hold the trunion have small heads and there should be a locking plate to prevent the bolts from turning. When I did mine I bought the bolts and the locking plate from The Filling Station. It looked like the (Grade 8) bolts were actually cast and the holes in the plate were big enough for the bolt heads to go right through. And on the u-joint was that infamous yellow sticker that read CHINA. As I have said so many times that as long as we are buying these inferior parts and not advising the vendors of the garbage they are selling then the more will come. | | |
