It has been a LONG time since I've posted, and I had a quick question. I was looking around under the rear of my truck (54' 3100) the other day and noticed something I had missed before. I have the standard leaf springs, and I also have coil spring that sit on top of the axle (welded, just a dime sized tack) and under the frame. At first glance my guess is that this is something ol' farmer fred tossed in there so that the truck wouldn't bottom out quite so badly when he had it full of manure. Especially because it didn't have a legimate spring perch. Any thoughts?
