My new valve cover is Chevy "car blue", not truck gray. The decal on my old valve cover, which is still on the truck, has a gloss finish and the blue valve cover does not ghost through the yellow decal.
Although the muddy yellow looks bad, the bigger problem is the matte finish on the whole decal including the clear parts.
