While port injection may produce more hp than a carb or TBI ( though not always true )it can have more problems. TBI gets better mileage than a carb usually and has few things go wrong. TPI is better suited to cars than trucks though many have done them. Mainly they are looking for speed. However it is your choice. Check out the website

He compares TBI, TPI and carbs while discussing the L03 engine, the 305. Same applies to the L05/350. I have a TBI 350. Sounds like someone who has been at mechanincing for quite a long time.
