I'm considering removing my rear doors in order to replace some door skin. Currently the doors fit perfectly and I am worried about how difficult it will be getting them realigned as well? Just popping the hinge pin would be simple enough, right? But I am considering removing the hinge entirely in order to replace the rubber grommet against the body. If I paint the outline of the hinge, will this be enough to get it reinstalled correctly or will I have to battle with the alignment? Maybe I should do the repair with the doors on?
