Just a little tip to clean up the work bench.
My “big old wife” used up the last of her 1.7oz. Clarins “Crème Douceur Jour” (that be gentle day cream for us mechanics). So, like I always tell her, these fancy pump dispensers are designed to leave half the product in the bottom once the pump quits pumping to sell more product. So, the Scotsman in me took over, and determined to get the last of the product out of the jar, I proceeded to pull it apart. And surprise, surprise, that sucker was 99% empty. It has a piston below the product and is well made with a strong spring loaded one/way valve arrangement and it really comes apart in a non-destructive manor.
I let her wipe the last of the remaining product out with here index finger and then washed the whole thing out with some hot water.
Next I got the grease gun out, which was loaded with F&F Mystic High-Temp-Multi-Purpose #2 Chassis Grease and loaded up the container, reassembled it. Now, when I’m assembling a project on the work bench and want just a “little dab” of grease I get it with out hauling out the grease gun, which is usually dripping from all of the openings after setting in the grease bucket for a month.
