I'd suggest that you find someone familiar with rear axle overhaul to walk you through your first attempt at rebuilding one. There are several tricky techniques involved in getting the gears positioned properly and the preload on the bearings right. Make sure your transmission shop guys also have plenty of experience setting up ring and pinion gears.
