You may be able to get a piece of heat shrink to slide over the wire and into the motor. Keep shoving it in there until it stops. You can also put some flexible sleeving over the heat shrink to provide chafe protection. That is the kwikndirty way - best is to crack the motor apart but I think I would try kwik n dirty first and then hope.
